When I completed my guitar master’s degree at the Conservatory of Brussels, my friends decided to give me a rather peculiar gift. Together, they chose to give me a painting easel. I’m not sure if it was a subtle way of telling me I should consider a different career, but I took it in a positive light. I believe they simply wanted to show appreciation for my constant need to create new things. Whatever the reason, I truly appreciated the gesture and started painting my first canvases right away.
Every time you step into something new—whether it goes well or not—you end up learning something valuable, even for the work you thought had nothing to do with it. When you spend years immersed in a single discipline, it’s easy to forget that the world outside runs on different principles. And in the end, maybe the difference between a composer and a computer scientist is just the angle from which they look at things (But we’ll get to that another day).
The scores here are free to download and play, but please note that the music is still under copyright. If you perform or record it, just make sure to use the correct title and give proper credit.
Thank you and enjoy!
2. Light is not what it seems
“Light Is Not What It Seems” plays with perception—where brightness reveals, but also conceals. A watercolor that invites us to look closer, and question what truly lies beneath the surface.

3. Clear Winter Sky
Stillness and clarity, “Clear Winter Sky” captures the quiet beauty of a crisp, cold day, where the air is sharp, the light is pure, and the world feels momentarily suspended in time.
